26 D-815 TYPE III-E DAGGER made from heat treated Arkansas Novaculite. Type III-E daggers have straight handles with stitching on one side rather than on both as with III-B. There was a crack in the back side of the handle area that forced me to flatten it to get clear of the crack. However, a small remnant of it remains near the shoulder-blade juncture on the back side that will have no effect in the structural integrity. I also added side and some pommel stitching which is not found on the originals. A nice touch that makes this a very cool little dagger. And the blade has some pressure finish.  Size, 6 5/8 inches.
